Russian antitrust says mulls 10-year pumping tariff for Gazprom
MOSCOW, Jun 30 (PRIME) -- Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service is considering a long-term 10-year tariff for Gazprom, head of the authority Igor Artemyev said on Tuesday.
"We are discussing introduction of a 10-year tariff for Transneft, Rosseti and even Gazprom, the gas pipeline. Firstly, it is important for us that companies had a normal income base to form an investment program, development, repair, maintenance of the existing network," he told a news conference.
Previously the service was not ready to grant Gazprom the right to set such tariffs because it has to have rules for non-discriminative access to infrastructure.
Artemyev official said that it is also important that companies cut costs.
The tariffs will be calculated mostly below inflation and only sometimes, if the tariffs are too low, above inflation, he said.
